Board of Directors
Barry Newman brings extensive experience in technology and investment banking as well as insight into Internet and media business trends to SonicSwap's board. Newman is currently a partner at NeoCarta Ventures. Prior to joining NeoCarta, Newman was Vice Chairman of the Technology Group at Bear Stearns, and the Head of Global Technology Corporate and Investment Banking for Banc of America Securities.
Michael Sheppard brings extensive CRM, sales, management, and business experience to the SonicSwap board. Sheppard was formerly VP for Asia Pacific & Japan operations for J.D. Edwards
Lara Druyan brings experience in internet consumer products, product management, market development, and strategic alliances to SonicSwap's board. Druyan is currently a general partner at Allegis Capital. Prior to joining Allegis, Druyan worked at Merrill Lynch as an investment banker where she advised global media and telecommunications companies on corporate finance and merger and acquisition strategies.
Pete Bodine brings broad experience in helping start-up and established companies develop business plans, recruit senior personnel, and procure equity funding via strategic alliances with corporate partners to SonicSwap's board. Bodine is currently a managing director at Allegis Capital. Prior to joining Allegis he co-founded APV Technology Partners, and also worked at Asia Pacific Ventures, a consulting and advisory service firm.
Jay Friedman brings experience in internet operations to the board. Friedman was previously a founder and SonicSwap's Vice President of Operations, and is currently V.P of Marketing at Audible Magic. Before co-founding SonicSwap, Friedman was Sr. Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Client Services, for LiveWorld, Inc. Prior to joining LiveWorld, Friedman was Vice President of Operations at NFO Prognostics.
Board Advisors
Mark Garrett is SonicSwap's chief financial advisor. He is Executive Vice President and CFO of Adobe Systems Incorporated. Before this, he was EVP and CFO for EMC/Documentum and CFO and VP of finance for two consumer-focused Internet startups: Fogdog and Homestead.
Gayle Sheppard advises SonicSwap on CRM, sales and business development. Sheppard was CEO of Ketera (formerly MarketMile), and served as VP of worldwide sales for J.D. Edwards, and VP of strategy development for Peoplesoft. Sheppard is currently Executive Chairman of Saffron Technologies
David Lee is SonicSwap's corporate counsel. He is a partner at the law firm of White & Lee in Palo Alto.
